Double progression

Definition

Double progression is a way to progress in two steps: add reps at the same weight until you hit the top of your rep range, then add weight and start again at the bottom.

In more detail

It works well for most lifters because it does not need a jump in weight every session. Mitta uses it to set your lift targets.

Example: 3 × 8–12 at 60 kg: once you do 12, 12, 12, go to 62.5 kg and aim for 8 again.
