How to move or skip a workout

In short

Open Week, tap the workout and choose Move to, or hold it and drag it to another day. To skip one, tap it and choose Remove. A workout you missed shows as Not logged, with a Move button. Moving and removing only change that one day. Your recurring days stay as they are.

How do you move a workout to another day?

There are two ways, both in Week.

  1. Tap and choose. Tap the workout, then Move to…. Pick a day in the calendar. A toast says Moved to and the new day.
  2. Hold and drag. Hold the workout for a moment, then drag it onto another day and let go. The day you hover over lights up.

You can move a workout that is still planned: strength, a run or another sport. You can move it to today or a later day. Past days are greyed out. A workout you already did cannot be moved.

If the day already has that same workout, Mitta says This workout is already on that day. Choose another day. and you pick again. If your plan changed in the meantime, it asks you to close the window and try again.

Tapped the wrong day? The toast has an Undo button.

Can you swap two workouts?

Not in one step. Mitta has no swap button. You move one workout to a free day, then move the other to the day that is now free.

The Week screen can also suggest a move on its own. When two strength workouts on back-to-back days load the same muscle group, a card says, for example, Bench day and Push day both load chest, and offers to move one to a nearby day without strength training. You can dismiss it.

Swapping an exercise inside a workout is something else. Tap the exercise name and choose Swap for.

How do you skip a workout?

Tap the workout in Week and choose Remove. It leaves that day and a toast confirms it, with Undo.

  • A workout on a recurring day. It is removed for that one day only. The toast says removed. Back next week. and the next one is still there.
  • A workout you added to one day yourself. The row is removed.

On a day that has not come yet, the removed workout shows struck through with the word removed. Tap it and choose Schedule anyway to put it back. On a day that has passed, it shows skipped.

Your history and records stay as they are. If you want a workout gone for good, or on other days, change it under Your schedule in Week. That is where recurring days live.

What if you missed a workout?

Mitta does not shift your plan for you. A planned workout on a day that has passed shows Not logged. For the latest one this week, Week shows a card with a Move button. It opens the day picker right away.

You can also tap the missed workout itself and choose Move to…. Pick today or a later day. If you would rather do it now, tap Start now. The note under it says Starting now moves this workout to today.

The Week header counts what is open, for example 1 earlier workout without a log. Nothing is marked as failed.

How do you plan a finished workout again?

Tap a workout you already did in Week and choose Plan again. The same button sits on the summary after a workout. Pick today or a later day.

This plans a new session of the same workout, for that date only. The earlier session and its sets are not copied or changed. Your recurring days stay the same. The toast has an Undo.

It will not plan onto a day that already has another strength workout, or a day where you already logged one. Mitta tells you which day to avoid, for example Push day is already on this day.

What happens to your plan and targets?

Only the date of that one workout changes. The workout keeps its exercises and sets, and your logged history is untouched. Undo puts the plan back as it was, as long as nothing else changed in between.

Food targets follow your training days. Mitta looks at which days of the week have a strength workout, not counting removed ones. With carbs that move with training, a day with strength training gets more carbs and a rest day fewer. The weekly average stays the same. So when you move a workout, the extra carbs move with it. Removing a workout makes that day a rest day for carbs. This part needs Pro. Accounts made before 18 October 2026 keep it.

Moving, removing and planning again are free on every plan.
